The Three Fishes
The Three Fishes is one of the oldest buildings in Sunbury, with a timber
frame that may date back to the 16th century. Since then there has
been considerable rebuilding, and much of the current structure probably originates
from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The name was first documented in a lease signed in 1665. A significant event
the pub's long history was in 1823 when it was sold for £810 at an auction
held in the nearby Flower Pot.
