Several years ago the wisteria suffered considerable wind damage. It was, however, quickly restored to near its former glory, albeit with a supporting frame and diverted path!

The Wisteria on King's Lawn

This impressive standard wisteria used to grow in the garden of Weir View, an early 19th century house that partly collapsed into the river. It was finally demolished in 1962 and the garden became part of King's Lawn.
