Charles Lendy Memorial in Bulawayo

You leave the city from the city hall via Selbourne Avenue. Then you see on your left Centenary Park and, on the right, Central Park. On your left lie the Theatre of the City of Bulawayo, the Lendy Memorial and the National Museum. The Lendy Memorial is a sandstone obelisk that was erected in memory of Captain C F Lendy who died on 18th January 1895 [sic]. The Anniversary Fountain was dedicated on the occasion of the 75th birthday of the City of Bulawayo in 1968.
